Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026.
This policy explains what My Vedic Jyotish (myvedicjyotish.com) collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyay from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
What this site collects
Nothing is collected from you directly unless you choose to send it. Two things happen automatically, and one happens only if you act.
- Server logs. Like every website, the hosting server records requests — IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the time. These are kept by the host for routine security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics and advertising cookies. Google services set cookies in your browser to measure traffic and to choose which adverts to show. More on these below.
- What you type into the contact form. Your name, email address and message, sent so I can reply.
The contact form
The form on the contact page is provided by WPForms. What you submit is emailed to me and stored in this site’s database. I use it to answer you and nothing else. It is never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for marketing. If you ask me to delete your message, I will.
If you send birth details for a chart question, those details are treated the same way: used to answer you, not published, not shared.
Google AdSense
This site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve adverts and to measure how they perform. Depending on your settings and location, these may be personalised based on your previous browsing.
You can review and change what Google uses at My Ad Center, and opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors may also be listed at aboutads.info.
Google Analytics
Traffic to this site is measured with Google Analytics, which records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what kind of device they use. It reports in aggregate; I do not use it to identify individual readers.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This site uses them for three purposes: keeping the site working and fast, measuring traffic, and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop you reading anything here, though some things may behave oddly.
Links to other sites
Pages here link out to other websites, and adverts link to advertisers. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else’s site, under their policy, not this one. I have no control over what they collect.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent me something through the contact form, write to me and I will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. To exercise any of these, write to me through the contact page and say what you want done.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
